Privacy
What this site collects, why, and how to get rid of it.
The short version
This site sets no marketing cookies and does no cross-site tracking. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to. Personal data is only processed when you type it in yourself: subscribing to the newsletter, requesting a template, or booking a call.
Who is responsible
Ahmed Essam, independent consultant, based in Cairo, Egypt.
Email: ahmed@processminds.co
I am established outside the EU. Because this site offers services to people in the EU, GDPR applies to it under Art. 3(2)(a), and the rights described below are real rights you can exercise by emailing me. Any personal data you submit is therefore processed outside the EU, which is covered under Art. 49(1)(b) where it is necessary to perform what you asked for, and otherwise on your consent.
Hosting
This site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). Cloudflare Pages, served from EU edge locations where possible. When you load a page, the host processes technically necessary connection data such as your IP address in order to deliver it. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR, the legitimate interest in operating the site securely.
Analytics
Page views are measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It works without cookies and without fingerprinting, and collects no data that could identify an individual visitor. Only aggregated statistics are produced, so no consent is required.
Newsletter and template downloads
If you subscribe to the newsletter or request a template, your email address is stored and used to send you that content. Delivery runs through Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.), hosted in the EU (eu-west-1) region. The page you signed up from is stored alongside it, so I know which content is actually useful.
The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time, using the unsubscribe link in any email or by writing to ahmed@processminds.co. Your address is deleted when you unsubscribe.
Booking a call
Calls are booked through Calendly (Calendly LLC, USA). The calendar only loads once you actually view the booking page. The details you enter there, your name, email address and what you want to talk about, are processed by Calendly in order to arrange the meeting. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR, taking steps prior to entering a contract.
Videos
Embedded videos load through youtube-nocookie.com, so YouTube only sets cookies once you actively start playing a video.
Fonts
All fonts are served from this site's own domain. There is no connection to Google Fonts or any other external font provider, so no data is transferred to a third party in order to render text.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. A short email to the address above is enough, and I will act on it rather than route it through a process. If you are in the EU you may also lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in your country of residence.
How long data is kept
Newsletter addresses are kept for as long as the subscription lasts. Email enquiries are kept for as long as handling them requires, and beyond that only where a statutory retention period applies.
